Growers

At Flowex, we value not only our customers but also the strong relationships we have with our growers. Working with more than 80 growers worldwide, we’re able to offer a diverse and high-quality selection of fresh cut flowers all year round.

Our flowers are sourced from some of the world’s leading flower-producing countries. While we primarily import from South America, we also work with growers in South Africa, Italy, and Thailand. This global network allows us to stand out with a broad, versatile range of premium flowers — always fresh, and always competitively priced.

A love for South America

Our focus remains on where it all began — South America. Thanks to the ideal climate, countries like Ecuador and Colombia consistently produce some of the highest quality cut flowers in the world.

Around 75% of our imports from these countries are roses, grown high in the Andes Mountains. Ecuador, in particular, offers the perfect conditions for rose cultivation. Located on the equator, it provides more natural daylight than anywhere else in the world. Combined with the high altitude, this slows down the growth process, allowing the roses to develop stronger stems and larger blooms. That’s why Ecuadorian roses are famous for their impressive head size and exceptional quality.

Besides roses, we also import Gypsophila, Hypericum, Alstroemeria, and various exotic flowers from the region. We’re also proud to be one of the distributors of preserved roses from RoseAmorTM.

Visits to our growers

We visit our growers several times a year so we can guarantee the quality of our cut flowers. We believe it is important to have a strong relationship with our growers. During our visits we can check the quality of the greenhouses, processing area and cold stores. Together we discuss how we can constantly provide our customers with the best quality cut flowers. We also discuss the latest trends and see the latest varieties so that our range always has a wide choice.
